“Perhaps everything that frightens us is, in its deepest essence, something helpless that wants our love” - Rainer Maria Rilke
I am Elena and, as you are on my page, I imagine you are looking to find the right person to work with. I am going to tell you a bit about my background and explain how I work which I hope will help you decide whether I could be the right therapist for you.
A grounded and soulful perspective
I am an integrative transpersonal therapist. My work is relational, thoughtful and paced carefully. Meaning that I integrate in my approach a variety of counseling techniques (psychodynamic, Gestalt, attachment theory, humanistic, Jungian), that I pay attention to what is happening in our relationship (as it is in relationships or out of relationships that we exist, therefore a therapeutic relationship can often become a metaphor of your relationships with others) and that I hold in mind the idea that we are all connected energetically.
My own life experience and its influence on my counselling work
My approach is informed by both professional training and lived experience. I have experience of working in the corporate world and I understand the pressures of responsibility, performance, and constant decision-making and juggling of many balls.
Having grown up in Romania and lived in the UK for almost twenty years, I also bring an understanding of what it means to hold inside, and live between cultures.
I became a mother later in life. Parenthood at this stage often brings reflection, emotional complexity, and questions about identity and meaning.
These experiences inform my work with clients navigating midlife changes.
What You Can Expect
Clients often describe my approach as calm, attuned, and thoughtful. I aim to work collaboratively and at a pace that will feel safe and without judgement, where complexity is welcome. My aim is not quick fixes, but meaningful and lasting change. Ultimately I am hoping to support you find your own way to flourishing in your life.
I hold a diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling from Re-Vision. I am a registered member of BACP and I abide but their code of conduct.
